“How to approach a gallery as a young Artist” ,by Robert Goff ;the Owner and Art Director of Goff and Rosenthal Gallery in Newyork.

As I was having an informal conversation with Robert Goff, I asked whether he was getting annoyed by artists wanting to exhibit in his gallery. He said he gets 20 emails a week; from different artists, I asked him what is the professional way to do it, and here are the steps to do that.

First you start with a small gallery, and find one that exhibits the same style as yours.

Then call them and ask if they accept submissions, because some galleries don’t.

If they do, arrange some pictures of your work and include your statement.
